Through two courses full of case simulations, mock interviews, and networking opportunities, the Technology Consulting Workshop will merge the fields of consulting and technology to prepare students to creatively problem-solve and effectively communicate in the corporate environment. Topics like big data and cloud computing will have workshop members at the forefront of the future of technology.
Students who want to focus on technology consulting can learn under Broc Pittsford, who has 25 years of experience in this field.
Workshop Application and Admission
Sophomores during their spring semester.
Good academic credentials, including leadership involvement and a passion for technology.
Applications are open from Thursday, February 12th - Friday, February 27th at 11:59 PM.
About two weeks after the end of the application process, in the days immediately following the final round of interviews.
- BUS-S375 Introduction to Technology Consulting (1.5 credits)
- BUS-S475 Technology Consulting Essentials (1.5 credits)
Workshop Time Commitment
During S375, students will be exposed to a variety of technologies and methodologies, case analyses and presentations, and professional development activities. During S475, workshop members will learn about the process of managing a consulting engagement and gain a better understanding of the life and career of a technology consulting professional. Throughout the workshop, students will also engage in a variety of recruitment activities.
