Workshop Application and Admission
The Talent Management Workshop is open to current Kelley School of Business undergraduate students who are passionate about people-centered leadership, talent development, and organizational excellence. While there are no formal prerequisites, students who have completed B
- You care about people and their experiences in the workplace. Beyond being a people-person, you’re energized by helping others grow, building strong teams, or shaping positive work cultures even in challenging scenarios.
- You’ve got a vision. You can explain how this workshop fits into your career goals—whether that’s HR, consulting, or leading a team someday.
- You show up and speak up. You’ve worked well with others in class, clubs, or jobs—and you know how to communicate and contribute.
- You want to lead with purpose. You’re excited about becoming the kind of leader who puts people first and drives real impact in organizations.
Applicants will complete a short application and submit a video (no longer than 10 minutes) responding to the set of prompts, which are designed to help the interview reviewers understand your personal and professional alignment with the workshop. Some things you can think about to prepare for your video:
- How does the Talent Management Workshop align with your personal and professional goals?
- What have you learned about yourself—your personality, strengths, and values—and how do these insights shape your interest in talent management?
- Why does this workshop matter to you personally and how do you hope to grow through the experience?
Selected candidates will be invited to a brief interview to further explore their enthusiasm for talent management, their potential to contribute to an inclusive and engaged cohort, and their fit with the workshop’s mission.

We hope to complete the admissions process by early April. If you are selected, you will receive a letter offering you a place in the workshop and asking for your commitment to participate. If you do not get selected, you will receive a letter informing you and providing you with aditional resources.

- Initial application review – February 1-28, 2026
- If selected for interview: interviews held between March 1-31 (no interviews held during spring break)
Experience/Expectations
The Talent Management Workshop is a two-course, hands-on experience that prepares you to lead people-first organizations. You’ll explore how high-performing companies attract, develop, and retain top talent—and you’ll get to practice those strategies in real-world settings.

- Work on live consulting projects with real companies
- Learn from industry leaders through guest speakers and site visits
- Build a professional toolkit for talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, and retention
- Collaborate with a tight-knit cohort of peers who share your passion for leadership and people development
