The workshop focuses on digital marketing, building skills through certifications and simulations, utilizing tools through a digital marketing audit, and providing networking opportunities with guest speakers and corporate connections.

The Digital Marketing Workshop (DMW) consists of three 1.5-credit-hour courses. The first required course meets the first eight weeks of the fall semester. The second required course meets the first eight weeks of the spring semester. The third optional course meets the second eight weeks of the fall semester the following year.

Classes in each course currently meet on Wednesdays from 3:55 pm to 6:35 pm.

In each course, we engage with our corporate partners in Chicago on a Thursday to Friday business site trip.

DMW members can continue their affiliation with the workshop through scheduled programming events for the rest of their academic career, as well as after graduation.

Workshop application and admission

Any first-year or second-year Kelley undergraduate student.

A successful applicant will have a strong academic record and interest in digital marketing. A student can demonstrate interest through membership in the IU AMA collegiate chapter, earning the IU GenAI 101 certification, and earning the HubSpot Academy digital marketing certification.

Applications are open from January 1 to January 31 each year.

All applicants are informed of decisions by mid-March.

The first-round review is based on submitted applications. Interviews are held in February for students advancing to the second round of the selection process.
