Information systems major

A major in information systems concentrates on information technology and the processes for operating and managing large, distributed global business. The study of information systems involves the analysis, design, implementation, and operation of the computer-based information systems important for day-to day operations and strategic management of businesses. Information systems majors can choose to specialize in information management, application development, and process management.

What are your career possibilities?

Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in information systems find themselves ready to take on careers in consulting, information technology, marketing, sales, corporate financing, and accounting. The information systems curriculum also provides a solid foundation for graduate degrees in a variety of business or technology fields.
