Kelley Student Government executes events and initiatives through committees. Delegates and student organization representatives serve on the committees and are responsible for executing a wide variety of decisions, duties, and activities pertaining to initiatives. They are encouraged to simultaneously work on multiple initiatives, as well as create their own initiatives based on the Kelley student body's needs and demands.
The Academic Experience Committee develops programs that promote success, individual achievement, and academic stress reduction for Kelley students. This committee drives initiatives such as the Standard Admit Breakfast, I-Core Success Coaching Program, Study Abroad Fair, and pushes for Kelley curriculum updates.
The Alumni Engagement Committee serves to bridge the gap between students and Kelley alumni, with the goal of enabling alumni to share advice with students to position them for future success. This committee works closely with the Office of Development and Engagement to host alumni for panel events and other functions.
The Equity and Inclusion Committee serves to foster an environment in which every student, regardless of background, feels empowered to pursue the opportunities they desire with the help of an environment that embraces inclusion.
The Ethics and Social Responsibility Committee works to unite campus-wide efforts to generate awareness and educate the greater student body on the advantages of an ethical and sustainable mindset. This committee is partnered with the Kelley Institute for Social Impact to collaborate on initiatives and develop a socially-responsible culture at Kelley.
The Sustainability Task Force is working on policy initiatives to implement green practices at Kelley, such as introducing “real food” at the Kelley Café and making it a zero-waste facility.
The Ethics Essay Competition engages students in a thoughtful consideration of how decisions made on salient business issues impact all stakeholders, particularly marginalized individuals and populations. The Ethics and Social Responsibility Committee works with the Business Law and Ethics Department to develop a relevant prompt and judge the competition.
The Professional Development Committee strives to equip Kelley Students with an unmatched career-centered competitive advantage through fostering and facilitating an environment of professional growth. This committee also works closely with Undergraduate Career Services to ensure that Kelley students are aware of beneficial resources and programming.
The Marketing Committee aims to engage and connect with the Kelley student body and promote the spirit and pride embedded in the community, while raising awareness of Kelley programming and other initiatives. The committee facilitates collaboration between KSG, Kelley student organizations, and other IU programs, and maintains the KSG brand and social media channels.
The Student Life Committee provides a platform for student engagement and commitment by promoting involvement opportunities, fostering camaraderie amongst students, and contributing to stress reduction and mental health. The committee is the driving force behind major Kelley-wide events such as the Kelley 5K, the Kelley Golf Outing, and Balance Week.
