Beginning in the Fall of 2022, three new accounting workshops will join the existing unique workshops offered at the Kelley Business School. Each will highlight different industries and career choices within the accounting profession. All of the workshops will emphasize experiential learning activities such as professional guest speakers and skill development, networking opportunities and field trips to key accounting employers.
Assurance, Control and Information Systems Workshop (BUS-A 315) – The mission of the Assurance, Control and Information Systems Workshop is to introduce students to a variety of career paths in assurance services, risk management and control systems and the important role of audit and internal controls in business and society.
Tax Advisory Services Workshop (BUS-A 316) – In the Tax Advisory Services Workshop, students will learn effective tax planning and how the tax function can add value to an organization. Development opportunities will be available with tax professionals for networking and learning the tools used by tax accountants.
Corporate Accounting Workshop (BUS-A 317) – The Corporate Accounting Workshop’s mission is to introduce students to the various career opportunities for accountants in large organizations, including financial planning & analysis, business risk management, treasure, tax planning & compliance and financial reporting & investor relations.
