Registration and event details

Kelley MBA Preview Weekend takes place Friday, October 30, through Saturday, October 31, 2026. Those traveling from a distance should plan to arrive Thursday night.

Friday (full day of programming): Includes a program overview (curriculum, Academies, global experiences), faculty-led mock class, career services session (recruiting, coaching, employer partnerships), alumni panel, and an admissions and financial aid overview covering application steps, timelines, scholarships, and financing.

Friday evening: Closing reception at host hotel.

Saturday: IU Bloomington has a home football game against University of Minnesota on Saturday. Our MBA Association will be hosting a tailgate before the game that will be open to visiting prospective students and guests. If you’re interested in sticking around and connecting with more current students, we’d love to have you!

Current undergraduates are encouraged to gain two to three years of professional experience before attending Preview Weekend.

Yes, but please only register if you are fully committed to attending. Space is limited and your spot could otherwise go to another candidate.

Admissions

Admissions interviews are by invitation only after completing our free, five-minute Phase 1 application. If invited, there may be an opportunity to schedule an interview on Thursday, but these will be limited.

Yes. If you’re unable to join us for Preview Weekend, we offer several other events and engagement opportunities throughout the year. Please visit our Meet Us page to explore upcoming options.

Schedule, guests, attire, and accessibility

Yes. A detailed event schedule, including transportation times and session details, will be emailed to all registered attendees prior to the weekend. 

You can also preview the event schedule on the Schedule page. 

Preview Weekend programming is designed for prospective students. While we understand that some may travel with guests, we recommend making separate plans for family or guests.

Business casual attire is appropriate for all events. We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, as well as a jacket or coat and umbrella to prepare for unpredictable fall weather.

Yes. Please let us know about any accessibility needs when you register or reach out directly to iumba@iu.edu so we can ensure accommodations are in place.

Travel, lodging, and parking

We strongly encourage you to make your travel plans immediately to have the most options and best pricing. The weekend begins on Friday morning and concludes that evening. There will be the option to participate in a tailgate with current students before the home football game on Saturday. Those traveling from a distance should plan to arrive Thursday night.

Yes. Kelley provides complimentary accommodation at the Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington for three nights: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

We reserve your room in your name; no booking is required on your part. Simply check in at the Hilton Garden Inn upon arrival. You are responsible for any incidentals charged to your room.

Bloomington is about one hour (50 miles) southwest of Indianapolis International Airport (IND).

  • Recommended shuttle: Go Express Travel provides regular service, including a stop at the Hilton Garden Inn.
  • Rental cars: Although not needed if utilizing the shuttle, rental cars are available at Indianapolis International Airport.

Transportation between the Hilton Garden Inn and the Kelley School of Business will be provided as noted in the event schedule. Ride share options (e.g., Uber, Lyft) are also available as needed. The Kelley School of Business is one mile from the Hilton Garden Inn.

  • Fee Lane Parking Garage (11th St. and Fee Lane, attached to the Godfrey Center), free parking from Friday 5 p.m. to Sunday evening.
  • Before 5 p.m. Friday, request a guest parking permit from the MBA Program Office (Godfrey Center, Suite 2000).
  • Parking for hotel guests is also available at the Hilton Garden Inn.

We will provide up to $300 in travel reimbursement. Please keep all receipts for your travel and we will provide you with a reimbursement form after the event.

Meals and dietary requests

You will receive breakfast vouchers for each morning you are at the hotel. Lunch and dinner will be provided on Friday.

Yes. Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies during the registration process, and we will ensure appropriate meal options are available.
