The Program
A team of six Kelley faculty members designed an annual, multi-week program called the Ashland Executive Program, in collaboration with Ashland senior management, including the CEO, and outside consultants. The program consisted of custom modules ranging from leadership and global strategy to marketing and finance. Each module included exercises designed to enable participants to implement strategic change in their part of the company. Participants also worked on custom case studies on Ashland operations.
The Outcomes
The Ashland Executive Program continued successfully for 15 years. By the end of the program, most of the higher-level leadership positions in the company’s business units were filled by Ashland Executive Program graduates.
