    Apply for a part-time MBA scholarship

    The Evening MBA Program provides a highly competitive scholarship opportunity for top applicants. If you are selected for a scholarship, you will receive up to $2,000 while in the Evening MBA Program. When applying, you may choose to address one or more of the following scholarship prompts in your application:

    • Leadership excellence: Demonstrate your leadership experience and commitment to developing others

    Timelines and deadlines

    The Kelley Evening MBA Program accepts applications for admission on a rolling basis, and applications are routinely reviewed as they are received. For admission timelines and application deadlines, visit our How to Apply page.

    You must fully complete and submit your application for admission to the Evening MBA Program before submitting a scholarship application.

    Scholarship applications are due:

    • June 13 for the August cohort
    • September 5 for the November cohort 

    How to apply for your scholarship

    1. Complete your application for admission. Not sure if your application for admission is complete? Email the Evening MBA Program office at mbaindy@iu.edu. Once you have completed your application for admission, you may apply for scholarships (even if you have not yet received an admission decision).
    2. Create a short essay or video in which you address the prompts identified in the scholarship descriptions above.
    3. Send essay or video to mbaindy@iu.edu. 

    Frequently asked questions

    Scholarship recipients receive $1000 in your first year, and $1000 in your second year- receiving up to $2,000. You must be enrolled for at least 6.0 credit hours in a given quarter to be eligible for the scholarship, and you must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

    You must fully complete all pieces of your application for admission to the Evening MBA Program before submitting your scholarship application(s). Important: Once you’ve completed your application, you can apply for one or two scholarships, and you may do so before or after you receive your admission decision.     Our Scholarship Committee will evaluate your scholarship application based on the following criteria:

    • How well your scholarship application addresses the scholarship prompts
    • Work experience
    • Overall strength of application for admission

    If you’re admitted to the Evening MBA but cannot begin the program as planned, you may be able to defer admission to a future term. However, scholarships cannot be deferred. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to carefully consider which term you’re applying for.

    We will review all scholarship applications at one time. We’ll notify scholarship recipients no later than June 28 for the August cohort or September 20 for the November cohort.
