For international travelers, there are several considerations regarding travel to the US as a result of COVID-19. Visitors may be subject to additional requirements that may cause delays such as COVID-19 testing and National Interest Exceptions for the 14-day entry prohibition for individuals present in certain countries. The NIE is necessary and may not be granted to a visitor coming on a visitor visa status to attend a conference. Potential visitors need to contact the US consulate in their country to receive guidance regarding eligibility to receive the NIE. Visitors are also advised to contact AVPpsia@iu.edu with entry plans to receive guidance regarding any protocols in place prior to arrival on campus.
For more information on COVID-19 and acceptable vaccines, please see the COVID-19 information for participants.
