Professor Frona Powell graduated with Honors from Indiana University with a degree in English and Classics in 1970, and she graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington, in 1976. After several years of practicing law, she joined the Kelley School of Business in 1987 where she is presently Associate Professor of Business Law. Her research interests include Real Estate and Environmental Law, and she has published numerous articles in those fields and one textbook, “Law and the Environment.” She presently teaches or has taught business law, real estate law, environmental law, and legal research and writing. Her international teaching experiences include teaching business law in the Krannert School of Business (Purdue) MBA program in Hannover, Germany, and teaching business law in the IGSB-Kelley School of Business MBA program in Zagreb, Croatia, for which she received a Fulbright specialists grant in 2007. She also regularly teaches in the Kelley Direct MBA program, and in 2007 she received that program’s Teaching Excellence Award.
