Bree Josefy is a Clinical Associate Professor of Accounting at the Kelley School of Business. She holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University, where she also earned her Ph.D. in Accounting. Prior to academia, she worked in Deloitte’s Corporate Finance and Tax practices in London and Hong Kong, developing financial models, conducting valuations, and advising on cross-border tax strategies for multinational clients across healthcare, media, energy, and financial services.

Since joining Kelley in 2016, she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, currently leading A304 Financial Reporting and Analysis for approximately 1,500 students each year. Her research focuses on voluntary disclosure and governance, with work published in Accounting Horizons. She presents nationally on accounting education, covering topics such as academic resilience, study strategies, and career readiness. Her teaching and service have earned multiple awards, including the Panschar Teaching Excellence Award, the Kelley Innovative Teaching Award, and Indiana University’s Trustees Teaching Award.
