This course is an eight week 3.0 credit hour course that extends the knowledge gained in Global Business Environments (D270). Whereas D270 focuses on the environments of international business, this L272 course concentrates directly on the strategic, managerial, and cultural aspects of healthcare-related business in Costa Rica. As such, the students are placed in the role of the decision-makers responsible for solving the myriad of practical problems resulting from a globalized and highly interconnected business environment. A constitutive element of this course is an approximately 1-week study tour involving site visits, consulting opportunities, and cultural engagements in Costa Rica.
