One week intensive course guided by the rigorous academic standards set forth by the 16 graduate business schools represented in The Washington Campus consortium, the educational programs bring participants face-to-face with experienced policymakers, senior policy advisors, and experts in public relations and advocacy who explain how Washington really works, how decisions actually get made, and who controls each step of the process. The programs provide a comfortable, neutral environment where current and future business leaders, including those who work in the non-profit sector, in trade associations, and within the advocacy community, can meet and exchange information with each other and with past and current policymakers, through formal educational sessions as well as informal networking.
The Washington Campus offers unique, intensive, five day residency courses in Washington D.C. for MBA and other graduate professional students. The complete course includes: pre-readings, course sessions and activities, a final written exam on the last day, and a team project due two weeks after the course is completed. BUKD-X 520 Kelley Direct Global Immersions

Global immersion courses combine online learning with an in-person learning experience. Each term, Kelley Direct offers opportunities for students to travel internationally to gain real-world business experience, make connections, and develop an innovative mindset to help them become better executive decision makers in their work context. International trips typically last 7-10 days. In consulting-focused courses, students work during the online portions of the course to learn about the context of the country and market they are visiting, the scope of the project, and the needs of the client. In country, students meet with clients, visit client sites, and present deliverables to the client. For exploration-focused courses, students explore a key topic or set of themes, and conduct analysis or produce business plans focused on the country and market in which they are immersed.

Health care is the largest sector of the U.S. economy, and also the sector with perhaps the deepest and most complex involvement of government throughout. Current and future health care executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals increasingly need to understand how government and public policy processes work, what are the key policy issues and trends, and how they can more effectively navigate this complicated environment. The Washington Campus customized and open-enrollment health care policy courses enable participants to interact first-hand with health care policy makers, regulators, and other experts who share their uniquely valuable insights with those interested and involved in health care.

Each term, Kelley Direct offers opportunities for students to travel domestically to gain real-world business experience, make connections, and develop an innovative mindset to help them become better executive decision makers in their work context. Domestic immersions are offered in a variety of formats: focusing on a consulting project for a real client, industry-specific conferences, or The Washington Campus.
