Global business is a constantly changing and evolving area of study. The national network of CIBERs, including IU CIBER housed within the Institute for International Business, keep faculty members ahead of the curve by promoting and sponsoring a variety of faculty development programs every year.
International Study Programs
CIBERs across the U.S. offer faculty development programs with short-term international trips to locations such as Australia, China, Africa, and Scandinavia. Locations do change from year to year.
Seminars, Workshops, and Other Programs
IU CIBER promotes and supports many domestic faculty development programs with both regional and national significance. CIBERweb includes a complete listing of all activities taking place across the network. In addition, Indiana University hosts the yearly Institute for Curriculum and Campus Internationalization.
MSI and Community College Grants
IU CIBER is one of nine CIBERs that have joined together to form the Consortium for Minority-Serving Institutions and Community Colleges (CMCC). The CMCC supports faculty, administrators, and students at Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) and Community Colleges across the country who aim develop capabilities that will expand and strengthen international business education at their respective institutions or increase their own expertise in international business education.
Interested parties can apply for programmatic awards for up to $20,000 or individual awards for up to $6,500. During the 2019-20 academic year, the CMCC will accept applications on October 15, 2019 and April 15, 2020. Questions should be directed to email@example.com.
