Learning objectives

Through real-world case studies and interactive exercises, you’ll learn to:

  • Demystify financial statements: Understand how the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow interlock and what they reveal about performance and risk.
  • Build financial skepticism: Learn to question numbers through revenue timing, accruals, capitalization, and hidden red flags in the footnotes.
  • Use AI for clarity, not complexity: Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning fundamentals to automate variance analysis, identify anomalies, and summarize key insights faster.
  • Connect insights to impact: Use machine learning in accounting and finance to visualize data trends and communicate them clearly to nonfinancial audiences.
  • Stay accurate and ethical: Follow best practices in data integrity, privacy, and audit-ready transparency when using AI in financial contexts.

After completing this artificial intelligence in accounting course, you’ll leave with sharper analytical instincts, improved accounting literacy, and the confidence to translate AI-driven accounting insights into action.
