Short course overview: Leading Organizational Change

Meet your instructor

Wendy Pottgen portrait

Wendy Arralde Pottgen

Wendy Arralde Pottgen is an adjunct lecturer in management and entrepreneurship at Kelley School of Business in Bloomington. She is also a seasoned human resources professional with strategic experience across change management, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, full employee life cycle talent management, and e-learning design and development. In addition to her lecturer position, she serves as a senior HR consultant with Lumen HR Partners, where she brings a people-centered, values-driven approach to empowering organizations and their leaders. 
 
Wendy began her career in the high-tech sector as an account executive, supporting clients in building out internet infrastructure solutions amid the internet boom of the ’90s. As a career transition in 2003, she moved into a development role at the Connecticut chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In 2007, Wendy and her family moved to Indianapolis, where she started her tenure in academic operations. She later transitioned into human resources and held several key roles at the NCAA national office, ultimately becoming the director of human resources. In this role, she not only led internal HR initiatives but also provided consultative support to colleagues at NCAA member institutions. 
 
A certified SHRM-CP professional, Wendy is also a certified Crucial Conversations facilitator and certified program manager for the Development Dimensions International Targeted Selection Behavioral Interviewing program. As an HR professional, she combines technical HR proficiency with a commitment to inclusive leadership and organizational integrity. 
 
Wendy holds a BA in Music from Whitworth (College) University and an MA in Organizational Leadership (certificate in Servant Leadership) from Gonzaga University. Deeply committed to serving others, she currently volunteers in the hockey community for Mid-Am Hockey, a region within USA Hockey, and serves as vice president of the Indiana State High School Hockey Association. She lives in Greenwood, Indiana, with her husband Charlie and—when they are not at their respective schools—their children Charlie and Lorraine.
