Earn a dual degree from Purdue University and the Kelley School of Business with the MSE-MBA program
This innovative dual degree program combines the resources and strengths of two world-class schools, Purdue University College of Engineering and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. You'll earn a Partner MBA from Kelley and an MS in Engineering from Purdue University. Designed for engineers advancing into leadership roles that require both deep technical expertise and strong business acumen, the program is offered online, so you can complete two advanced degrees while continuing your role at your current organization.
Program structure and residency experience
The Purdue–Kelley partnership is a rigorous, high-impact graduate business experience that combines academic excellence, real-world application, and meaningful professional connections. You'll learn from experienced, industry-connected faculty and earn the same degrees that students earn on campus, backed by the reputation and prestige of Purdue University and the Kelley School of Business.
As a Kelley Partner MBA student, all of your coursework can be completed fully online, allowing you to earn your degree from anywhere. You'll also have the option to participate in two immersive, one-week residency programs held in September of the first and second fall semesters. Each residency includes a 1.5 credit hour course and provides dynamic, face-to-face learning experiences featuring engaging faculty discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and meaningful networking opportunities with peers and business leaders.
Structure The Kelley Partner MBA program includes:
51 credit hours (36 Kelley and 15 Purdue)
3 to 6 credit hours per term
A flexible completion timeline from 2 to 5 years
Live-virtual sessions, typically once a week in the evenings per course

Before beginning Part 1 of the Kelley application, students must have been admitted to Purdue University’s Online Dual Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering + Kelley MBA program prior to summer 2026.
If you are not currently a Purdue student, you may still apply to Purdue’s Online Dual Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering + MBA; however, the MBA component will be offered through the Purdue Mitch Daniels School of Business.
After you complete the Kelley application, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to apply through the Graduate CAS Application. During this stage, you will upload the following materials to complete your application:
Resume Provide a copy of your resume, summarizing your professional experiences and accomplishments.
Personal statement Tell us what you want to achieve in this program in 500 words or less.
Letter of recommendation Ask someone familiar with your professional career to write a letter of recommendation for you. Provide the contact information of your recommender within the application. An email prompt will be sent to their email address, and they will be able to fill out a form and upload the letter. If you need alternative arrangements, please contact keepadm@iu.edu.
Postsecondary transcripts Provide copies of your transcripts from all of the postsecondary institutions you’ve attended. These copies can be sent to the program, or uploaded into the Part 2 Application.
