Program structure and residency experience

The Purdue–Kelley partnership is a rigorous, high-impact, graduate business experience that combines academic excellence, real-world application, and meaningful professional connections. You'll learn from experienced, industry-connected faculty and earn the same degree that students earn on campus, backed by the reputation and prestige of Purdue University and the Kelley School of Business.

Designed to provide both flexibility and engagement, the program is approximately 85% online and complemented by five immersive, one-week residency sessions. You'll participate in two residencies at Purdue, one at an international Purdue partner institution, and two at the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, Indiana.

The residency experiences are a defining feature of the program, offering dynamic face-to-face learning, in-depth discussions with faculty, collaborative problem-solving, and valuable networking opportunities with peers and business leaders. The Kelley School of Business residencies include two 1.5 credit hour courses completed during the month of August in both the first and second year of the progam.

Structure
The Kelley online MBA program includes:

  • 48 credit hours (36 Kelley and 12 Purdue)
  • Approximately 6 credit hours per quarter
  • A flexible completion timeline from 2 to 6 years
  • Live-virtual sessions, typically once a week in the evenings per course

You'll learn from the same highly ranked faculty who teach in the residential programs.

Topics covered include:

  • Business law and ethics
