The Kelley School sponsors, designs, hosts, and sends students to compete in case competitions all over the globe in a variety of disciplines: accounting, marketing, supply chain management, consulting, sales, information technology, etc. Case competitions give students the opportunity to work together on teams to solve business challenges and present their recommendations. In recent years, there has been a surge in case competitions that focus on using business skills to solve social challenges. Many of these competitions increasingly have large prize winnings that can be used to fund these business ideas.
Here are some examples of case competitions that invited business school students from all over the globe to propose creative, business solutions aimed at reducing poverty in the developing world or solving growing social or environmental crises.
