Luis D. Contreras is an MBA Candidate at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He is majoring in Marketing and Finance and pursuing a career in the Consumer Marketing and Retail industries.

Before coming to Kelley, Luis worked for eight years in Sintec, a Monterrey-based consulting firm specialized in operations, marketing, and sales management. While there, Luis led and executed more than 30 successful supply chain and marketing projects for more than 15 Latin American companies, supported by teams with diverse cultural backgrounds in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Costa Rica, in industries such as: Food and Beverage, Consumer Goods, Retail, Building Materials and Industrial Manufacturing. He has broad experience designing and implementing processes in areas like Sales & Operations Management, Demand Management and Business Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning and Execution, New Product and Trade Promotion Management, as well as Modern Trade Marketing and Sales Processes and their Value Propositions. He also supported project sales processes, worked as an instructor in dedicated seminars and coach for other consultants within the firm, collaborated in thought leadership activities, and supported recruiting efforts.

Additional to work and studies’ related activities, Luis Daniel enjoys having a good time with his family and sharing his passion for photography and barbequing with his friends.

Luis Daniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).  He is fluent in Spanish and English; he is also conversational in Italian.
