Dr. Yonker is an assistant professor in the finance department at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He is currently on leave visiting the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. He holds a master's degree in economics from Duke University, a Ph.D. in finance from the Ohio State University and has been a CFA charterholder since 2005.
Dr. Yonker's primary research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, behavioral finance, and investments. Utilizing tools from psychology, sociology, and economics, Dr. Yonker investigates how identifiable differences in "key" market players impact the important decisions that they make. His work has been accepted for publication in The Journal of Finance, The Review of Financial Studies, and The Journal of Financial Economics; has been cited by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Bloomberg Business Week; and has been featured on the Fox Business Channel.
Prior to entering academia, Dr. Yonker was a portfolio manager for a small registered investment advisory firm in Chapel Hill, NC. He is currently the president of Frontier Asset Management, Inc., which he founded in 2006.
