Conference Theme
The theme for the 2014 Sophomore Professional Conference is The Future is Today. This year’s conference will focus on helping students make important decisions that will affect their future business careers.
All conference presentations should also fall under one of the following sub-themes:

  • Career preparation
  • Academic success
  • Personal and professional development
  • Team membership and leadership

The deadline to submit proposals for the 2014 conference has passed.

Session Types
  • Concurrent Sessions
These 40-minute sessions allow for 30-35 minutes of formal presentation and 5-10 minutes of discussion. This session type is best for those wishing to make formal presentations with questions and audience interaction.

  • Roundtable Discussions
These sessions are designed to promote open discussion around a topic. Rather than making a formal presentation, session facilitators will encourage and maintain substantive discussion. The roundtable discussions will take place during lunch.

  • Expo Presentations
The SPC Expo will provide leaders of organizations, institutes, and specialty programs the opportunity to network with conference participants and provide information regarding special opportunities and programs appropriate for second-year students. The conference expo will be scheduled for 60 minutes at the end of the conference day.
