Application Process
Apply to Kelley Direct in 10 steps
Prepare for, register, and take the GMAT. The Graduate Management Admission Test is administered year round. Have your GMAT scores sent to Kelley Direct (code GKS-8M-09). In addition, fax your unofficial score report to Kelley Direct at (812) 855-2001 or mail it (see step 6). Note: Kelley Direct will accept the GRE in lieu of the GMAT. If taking the Graduate Record Examination, send your scores to “Indiana U.” school code 1324.
If English is not your native language and you do not have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a country where English is the language of instruction, prepare for, register, and take the TOEFL. When you take the Test of English as a Foreign Language, have your scores sent to Indiana University (code 1324/99). In addition, fax your unofficial score report to Kelley Direct at (812) 855-2001 or mail it (see step 6). TOEFL minimums: 550+ (paper version/PBT) or 213+ (computer-based version/CBT) or a provisional minimum of 79+ (internet-based version/ kBT).

Contact all post-secondary institutions attended and request your official, original academic records or transcripts be sent either directly to Kelley Direct (see step 6 for the address) or sent to you in a sealed, signed envelope which you forward, unopened, to our office. Make arrangements to have a literal translation of your academic records if in a language other than English.
Contact the person who will write a letter of reference on your behalf and ask them if they are willing to submit the reference online. If so, be sure you have their preferred email address to provide to Kelley Direct. Kelley Direct will send the letter writer an official form. If they are not willing to submit a reference online, have them write a reference letter on letterhead and send the letter to you in a sealed and signed envelope. Do not open this reference letter.
When you have received all academic records, send them (unopened) along with a copy of your unofficial score reports (if not faxed), your letter of reference (unopened if not submitted online) and a copy of your permanent resident card (if required) to:

Write your personal statement of approximately 500 words. In your statement, identify your academic goals, career objectives, why you are applying to this program, and the qualifications you have that make you a strong candidate for this program.
After you complete Part I of the application, you will receive an email link to Part II. When submitting Part II, upload the file containing your personal statement and resume. Be sure to include the name and email address of the person who will be submitting the letter of reference on your behalf in the "Recommendations" section of Part II. The application fee is $75 for domestic and international students, and is submitted with Part II of the application.
Admission Decision: Kelley Direct operates on a rolling admission process. This means that once your applications to both the University Office of International Admissions and Kelley Direct are complete, and you have submitted all supplemental information, an admission decision will be made and you will be notified of an admission decision from Indiana University and the Kelley Direct as soon as possible. You should expect a decision from us in three weeks.
Important: Withholding pertinent information requested during the application process or giving false information will make students ineligible for admission, subject to cancellation of admission if admission has already been granted, or subject to dismissal if already enrolled. Applicants will need to certify all statements submitted during the application process are correct and complete.
