    Sustainable Operations

    • Prerequisite: MBA Core

    This course examines improvements on the environmental impact of current operations, or eco-efficiency: environmental and take-back legislation, pollution prevention and waste reduction including lean, 3R (reduce, reuse and recycle), environmental management systems  and ISO 14001, LEED certification, and life cycle assessment (LCA).  We then address closed-loop systems, or product stewardship: design for environment (DFE), leasing, reuse, and remanufacturing.  Finally, the course addresses sustainability in the supply chain.
