- Meeting with Fernando Nilo, CEO of Recycla, from Chile: Sponsored by the Kelley Institute for Social Impact and the Center for Latin American Studies, EMC opened an opportunity for several club members to discuss with Mr. Nilo about operating in an emerging economy and the benefits and challenges of operating on a triple bottom line.
- Marketing in Emerging Markets Professor Shibo Li spoke about marketing in China. Specifically, he spoke about global versus multinational marketing strategies, entry methods, and major customer segments within China.
- Resumes and Curriculum Vitae Workshop Laura Barnes Paley, Kelley’s Associate Director of Career Services, presented on resumes on CVs to EMC members interested in careers in emerging markets.
- Meet and Greet with Ex-President of Ecuador Thanks to support from CIBER several club members were able to sit down in a small intimate setting with the ex-president of Ecuador, Jamil Mahuad, to discuss a long run perspective on economic and social policy issues in Ecuador.
