Lawrence (MBA '00) established a career in brand strategy consulting, and when he established his own firm, he hired a Kelley intern, Michael (MBA '10). According to Michael, "the experience strengthened my passion for branding and uniquely positioned me for my career aspirations. The primary thing that was extremely evident from my interaction with Lawrence was how important the alumni network is after graduation. I too feel compelled to help future classes fulfill their dreams." Two years later, when Lawrence was seeking a new opportunity at a company led by a Kelley alum, he simply called the Kelley School to get the introduction - and got the job!
