KSB New York City Career Networks is hosting a panel discussion focused on advancing your career in 2014.
Brief keynote followed by an expert panel discussion with question-and-answer session. There will be time for networking before and after the discussion.
The Kelley School of Business Office of Development and Alumni Relations is currently requesting and confirming panelists for this event. Selected panelists will have executive level expertise and diverse personal and professional backgrounds. Val Grubb, MBA'01 - Principal, Val Grubb & Associates
Valerie Grubb is the principal of Val Grubb & Associates, Ltd., which she founded after holding a succession of leadership roles within major corporations. She now works on a consulting basis in operations management, specializing in back-office functions such as HR, purchasing, facilities/real estate, security, travel, and other logistics and ops-based areas. Valerie is particularly adept at managing major corporate initiatives in high-growth, complex work environments, and also supports talent and leadership development for several major corporations and nonprofits.In her training capacity, Valerie focuses on the world of executive leadership and management, and has a special expertise in transposing company vision into strategic training initiatives that resonate with both senior management and employees. She has taught senior leaders and high- potential employees throughout the USA, Asia, Europe, South America, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). She has experience working in a variety of industries, including entertainment, media, spirits and beverage, retail, automotive, pharmaceutical, nonprofit, and others.
Joyce Frost, BS'85 - Partner, Riverside Risk Advisors
Joyce Frost has over 25 years of experience in the interest rate, currency and credit derivatives markets starting her career when the swap market was in its infancy.
Joyce earned a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University Kelly School of Business and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
She currently is Chair, Board of Trustees of the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, one of the top rated charter schools in New York City, and Treasurer & Secretary of the Board of Directors of New York Cares, the 2009 winner of New York Times Nonprofit Excellence Award. Joyce is also on the advisory boards of Central Queens Academy, a new charter school, as well as Women in Derivatives.

Dan McCampbell, BS'78 - VP Menswear, Polo Ralph Lauren
Dan is currently the vice-president and divisional merchandise manager of men’s apparel and accessories at Ralph Lauren. Dan oversee the buying team for the Ralph Lauren retail group in the United States and responsible for the men’s lines, including Polo, Purple Label, Black Label, RRL and RLX. Based in the Ralph Lauren corporate office in New York City and have been with the company for over 7 years. Prior to joining Ralph Lauren Dan was with Saks Fifth Ave in their New York corporate office for over 17 years where he held positions in men’s buying, the corporate fashion office and vice president of merchandising for all menswear. Dan was born in Indiana and received his BS in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Derek Bowen, BS'92, MBA'98 - Senior Vice President, Coty, Inc.
Derek Bowen is currently the Senior Vice-President of Marketing for Coty Beauty US. In this role, he is responsible for all of the brands in the Cosmetics and Fragrance portfolios, including Sally Hansen, Rimmel, New York Color, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, adidas, Nautica, and Guess. Derek started his marketing career at Procter & Gamble. Derek earned his MBA in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business. He also has a BS in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business that enabled him to start his business career in Public Accounting working for Price Waterhouse.
