Effects of the Nov. 2012 Election on Healthcare Reform

Indianapolis

The third of four conferences in the 2012-13 Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration Series

The Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration Conference Series, coordinated by the IU Kelley School of Business’ Center for the Business of Life Sciences, provides a forum for various players in healthcare and life sciences to strategically consider key business issues. Executives, scientists, medical practitioners, researchers, policymakers and academics drawn from a wide range of backgrounds all contribute to the discussion. Conferences are organized for attendees to increase their knowledge AND have the opportunity to make new connections across the life sciences spectrum.

Conference 3
Effects of the November 2012 Election on Healthcare Reform
February 8, 2013

Cost:
$150 or $450 to attend all four conferences in the series.

Location:
Fairbanks Hall
340 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis

While placing some limitations on the Medicare expansion, the Supreme Court’s decision last June left most of the 2010 Affordable Care Act intact. With the Presidential election now behind us and the composition of the House and Senate known, it is a safe assumption that some form of healthcare reform will go into effect in 2014.

What does this mean for the states, insurers, providers and firms across the life sciences industry? This conference will help “shed some light” on upcoming key implementation steps and their ramifications. Government “insiders,” observers and industry professionals will be sharing their thoughts on the next phase in the transformation of the nation’s healthcare system.
