Christopher D. Hession

Chris is the founding attorney and managing partner of Hession & Associates, Ltd., a Chicago law firm representing established and emerging corporate and entrepreneurial businesses as well as their stakeholders, directors and executives in a broad array of business and commercial legal matters.  Chris regularly acts as outside general counsel to his business clients and their constituents, providing business-oriented legal counsel relating to mergers and acquisitions, strategic agreements, intellectual property, stakeholder rights, director and officer duties and many other commercial matters.  Chris also provides his business and executive clients with legal representation and counseling in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal court.  Chris is licensed before the Illinois Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Colorado Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Colorado.

Chris graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 1993 with a degree in Marketing.  Having received his joint J.D./M.B.A. degrees from DePaul University in Chicago in 1997, Chris has been a practicing attorney in Chicago since that time.  Chris has also been actively involved with the Chicago-area Kelley School of Business alumni since 1997.

Chris is originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and has lived in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago since 1994 where he now resides with his wife, Vanya.  Chris enjoys the benefits of city living as well as many outdoor pursuits, including triathlons, fishing, hiking, birds and nature and traveling to unique and interesting parts of the U.S. and the world.
