Why did you choose Kelley?
First, the Investment Management Academy—members explore real-world financial applications and challenges, like managing a live $500,000 portfolio. But my wife and I were also impressed by the Kelley Partners program because we were looking for additional support as we entered a new environment.
What do you remember most about your Kelley experience?
Being part of "Team Kelley." Through the struggles of the Core, the fun of intramural sports and hours spent in the Trading Room, I made lifelong friends. These friendships have continued, and I'm already looking forward to our annual reunion.
How did your education at Kelley prepare you for your current career?
Kelley professors are the lifeblood of the program. I was consistently impressed by their subject knowledge, genuine interest in their students and seemingly boundless energy. They provide an opportunity to test theories, discuss ideas and develop practical skills.
What advice would you give to a student considering Kelley?
Think not only about a school's professors, curriculum and reputation, but also about your fellow students. Teamwork, integrity and dedication are crucial components of success. Would I spend the next 20 years working with my Kelley classmates? Absolutely.
