William R. Fry Scholars Program
The William R. Fry Scholars Program is made possible by an estate gift from the late William R. Fry (B.S. ’58). A successful serial entrepreneur, Mr. Fry first started an investment management firm, Progressive United Corp., in Indianapolis, Indiana and later became the owner and manager of numerous radio stations in the state of Louisiana. The scholarship supplements recipients’ other Indiana University administered gift aid to cover designated fees & tuition and room & board expenses.

- Incoming, direct admit freshmen
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business
- Preference given to applicants who are underrepresented
Before submitting the online William R. Fry Scholars Program application, students must first set up their IU email accounts. Failure to do so will likely result in technical errors on the application,
Students should complete the Fry Scholars Program Application, available on this website in early October. Applications for the upcoming academic year are due by January 11. Visit the William R. Fry Scholars Program website for more information.
Please note, while not compulsory, students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.
