George L. Leinenweber Scholarship
Dr. Charles R. Leinenweber established the award to honor the memory of his father, George L. Leinenweber, who received a B.S. in Business from the School in 1939. George and his wife, Virginia, raised four sons, two of whom also graduated from IU. Through hard work and determination, the senior Mr. Leinenweber rose to Plant Manager at the Bloomington, Indiana RCA factory. His strong sense of community responsibility led him to become an early champion of minority, labor, and environmental issues.
The Leinenweber scholarship supports Kelley students with first preference given to graduating seniors who are pursuing a B.S. in management and/or accounting who are members of an underrepresented population at the School.
