Legal Studies Curriculum

What is legal studies?

Law is arguably the most important external factor affecting business operations. In addition, ever-larger numbers of business decisions are influenced by government rules, regulations, and policies. The study of legal issues affecting business provides students with an excellent foundation for business decision making. The legal studies concentration gives students the opportunity to study current legal issues and trends affecting business and society. Areas of focus may include environmental, international, and employment law as well as more traditional areas such as business organizations, contracts, and property.

What are your career possibilities?

This major is excellent preparation for positions in consulting, risk management, legal auditing, and government, and other law-related fields. It is also good background for graduate work in areas such as public administration, business, and law.
