Sponsors

The Kelley Retail Association has developed strong and supportive relationships with Kelley Sponsors and Corporate Sponsors. These relationships are highly valued assets to our organization and have helped us to achieve numerous goals. Our ability to connect students with experts in the retail industry provides them with credible insight into the business and numerous personal and career opportunities.  Our success is reliant on the enthusiastic participation of our sponsors and we strive to provide them with engaging outlets for networking, information sessions, workshops and other interactive events.

The Kelley Retail Assoication has already established a strong relationship with Macy’s Bloomingdale’s in the past year.  Last winter, the company was very generous in aiding us in our IU Basketball T-Shirt Fundraiser. In February we coordinated a “Brand Yourself” workshop with the company where students were able to receive advice on how to present themselves to recruiters and learn networking tips.  The Kelley Retail Association is also involved in a roundtable event in early October to once again connect Kelley students to the retail industry.
Our organization often has informative dinners with recruiters or executives from various retailers.  These are a great way for recruiters and students to converse face to face, learn more about the industry, and network in a more comfortable environment.

The Kelley Retail Association also hosts an annual Retail Panel which has included representatives from large retailing companies such as Kohl’s, Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Target.  Students will be able to network with companies, ask direct questions, and gain insight into the industry.  This also gives recruiters the opportunity to discuss different aspects of the company and speak with our students.

Our most recent corporate activity is the development of a research study done on Kelley students of all majors and their perception of the economics and careers in the retail industry.  Petsmart’s CEO Robert F Moran will be visiting with the Kelley Retail Association’s Executive Council in October to discuss results from the research.

We are very thankful for all of the support we have received from our corporate sponsors. We are always seeking out new opportunities to further these relationships and developing new ones as well.
