BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Congratulations to Professor Ramesh Venkataraman, Chair of Information Systems Graduate Programs, who has been named a finalist for this year’s Technology Educator of the Year Award as part of the 14th annual TechPoint Mira Awards for Technology Excellence & Innovation. 

TechPoint, Indiana’s statewide technology initiative focused on growing Indiana’s tech sector by promoting the successes of technology companies and professionals, uses this and their other awards to “recognize excellence and innovation through the achievement of Indiana’s outstanding technology industry performers and contributors, and focuses attention on the broader issue of the important role of technology plays in Indiana’s economy.”  Finalists in 12 different technology categories, including Technology Educator of the Year, have been selected across the marketplace from established corporations and major research universities to fledgling startups and cutting edge creative agencies. 

Finalists and winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony and dinner on Saturday, April 20, at the JW Marriott Indianapolis.  A complete list of finalists in all award categories can be found at
