Aurora Fuentes is currently an MBA candidate at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. She is pursuing a major in Supply Chain Management, as well as a minor in Marketing.
Before coming to Kelley, Aurora worked for nearly seven years at Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, one of the five largest universities in México. In 2005, she started her early career as professor, and in 2006 she was invited to become part of the administrative staff of the Faculty of Economics Department, she was promoted rapidly and frequently, becoming the youngest person ever to her most recent position as Deputy Director.
During her tenure at Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México Aurora held several prominent positions. Most recently, she has served as the Deputy Director of Material Resources at UAEMex, where she was responsible for providing teaching and research resources for 104 people. While in this position, she was able to cut the wait time of buy requests from 40 days to 15 days. Prior to that position, Aurora was the Manager of Faculty of Economics, where she held the responsibility of ensuring that the faculty met its strategic and personal goals and objectives. To do this, she met with each faculty member to set goals, measured their performance, reviewed their results, and then applied corrective methods.
Aurora holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Sciences and a Master’s in Economics by Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMex). She is passionate about integrated business planning, supply chain risk management, and globalization initiatives.
