Cesar Borrero is an MBA candidate at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He is interested in continuing his career in the Sports Industry at the College or Professional level. Originally from Bogota he holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes and is fluent in Spanish, English, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Before coming to Kelley, Cesar worked in IBM Colombia in several divisions including: consulting, finance and pricing, and software technical sales. During his career of more than 6 years he developed skills to evolve solid business relationships with customers and partners across Latin America.
He was distinguished with IBM´s corporate awards for top performers: Hundred Percent Club 2011 and 2012 and Sales Eminence 2012.
After graduating from the MBA, he wants to develop a career in the Sports industry in marketing and business development positions improving the experience of the fan within professional franchises or in College Athletics. In the long run, he wants to develop an international career in the world of sports as member of the board of an international federation or Olympic committee with influence in their business expansion.
Cesar is recently married and practices basketball as forward and soccer as goalkeeper. He is also an aspiring cycling enthusiast.
