Miguel Becerra is currently an MBA candidate at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He is pursuing a double major in Business Analytics and Finance, as well as a minor in Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation.
Before coming to Kelley, Miguel worked for nearly six years at Banco de Crédito BCP , the leading financial institution in Peru. In 2007, he started as an IT Infrastructure Security Analyst, and two years later, he was commissioned to found and develop the Department of Computer Forensics and Technological Investigations.
While working as the Head of the Department of Computer Forensics and Technological Investigations, Miguel began the implementation of a Computer Forensics Laboratory, and led a team that was responsible for investigating sophisticated internal and external fraud events involving computer systems and electronic banking channels such as ATMs, Internet and Mobile banking. He was also appointed as the Principal Representative of Banco de Crédito BCP at the Information Security Committee of the Peruvian National Association of Banks – ASBANC, where he was elected as vice-president for the 2011-2012 period.
Miguel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). He is passionate about technology and innovation, and enjoys building radio-controlled models and horseback riding. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
