Juan Ignacio Jácome is a first year MBA student at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University pursuing a double major in Marketing and Finance.
Juan Ign acio was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. After finishing high school he moved to the Washington DC area, where he attended the University of Maryland at College Park, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics. After completing his undergraduate studies, he began his professional career working for Micro Finance International Corporation, a Washington DC based micro-finance institution created to provide financial services to people with bad or no credit history (primarily Latin American immigrants). Later he joined the Organization of American States (OAS), in Washington DC, for the Department of Budgetary and Financial Services, creating financial reports, coordinating audits, and executing reports.
Juan Ignacio enjoys leadership and team activities. While in College, he was the co-founder of a student organization that discussed current events in Latin America and created a social environment for incoming students. Later, in his professional career, he performed duties in a credit committee and worked as a branch manager in Micro Finance International and was the financial officer for the Electoral Observation Mission in El Salvador 2009. Finally, Juan Ignacio enjoys a wide variety of sports ranging from football (soccer) to table tennis, as well as social events like dancing and tasting food from around the world.
