Guillermo received his MBA in the Kelley School of Business in May 2011, majoring in Finance and Strategic Analysis of Accounting Information. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Lima, Peru. During his educational experience, Guillermo contributed as a teacher and a graduate assistant in the operational research, finance, and decision technology fields. Guillermo has had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of economic sectors.
His professional experience began as a trainee in an important textile company in Perú, Tejidos San Jacinto, where he developed documented procedures that helped to execute reengineering processes targeted at implementing quality systems. As a trainee in the marketing department of Banco Financiero, he supported the administration of the merchandising system of the bank. In the telecommunication sector, working for Telefónica del Perú, he was in charge of the analysis of business accounts and the alignment of debt management processes to the mandate of regulatory institutions.
Finally, his passion for finance motivated him to stay for almost 6 years in the banking industry working for Banco de Crédito del Peru, where he assumed different roles mainly focused on value generation through the application of credit risk assessments. This diverse experience helped him to develop a holistic approach to business management.
