New Professional Sales and Communications Learning Lab
Plans are under way at Kelley for a new undergraduate building, and the school has received $1 million from 3M Co. and its foundation for a new professional sales and communications lab for students. The gift will be used to create a lab equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will enable students to receive useful feedback on their efforts to improve presentation, listening and adaptive selling skills.
Features of the new lab include:
- Four role-play rooms featuring digital recording equipment. Here students can act through case scenarios with instructors and peers. The recording is used as a learning tool for students, for project evaluation in a course, or as an interview tool by a recruiter.
- Conference and resource center. This room will be used for Web conferencing, board meetings, training sessions, team selling presentations, and as a storage area for business communication resources.
- Business center. This room will operate as an open working lab for students, general waiting area for student role plays, meeting room for recruiters, and class speakers.
