Selling Competition

Our selling competition attracts top teams from around the United States to compete in our real-world sales simulation judged by representatives from top corporations.

National Team Selling Competition

For seven years in a row, the Center for Global Sales Leadership has hosted the National Team Selling Competition at the Kelley School of Business on the IU Bloomington campus. 

We launched this event as part of our ongoing commitment to prepare today's sales students for the world of work. And in today's fast-paced sales world, more companies are turning to a team sell or team consulting approach to their major accounts.

The competition attracts top teams of undergraduate sales students from America's leading universities who wish to pursue high-level, complex sales and to practice team selling simulations. Altria Group Distribution Company and 3M Corporation employees role-play as buyers and senior management, and also serve as judges.

This experience offers its participants:

  • The chance to take your classroom knowledge and experience and apply those skills in a selling situation that is realistic and relevant in todayís market. And, there are cash prizes: $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second , and $1,000 for third.
  • Fun while networking with your teams, interacting with the sponsors, Altria Group Distribution Company and 3M Corporation, and meeting students from other universities.
  • Professors and sales centers will have the opportunity to network and share different team sales techniques and sales education methods.

The 2014 competition will be scheduled for Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17, 2014. Make plans to attend today!
