Adjusting to Campus Life

The Office of International Services has a list of information about how to make the adjustment to Indiana University. This site includes information about academic support, monetary concerns, transportation, and many other links to information important for international students. The office also plans a full week of International Orientation required of all international students.

We encourage international students to become familiar with the information offered through IUís Office of International Admissions. Among the topics covered in detail are visa regulations, estimated expenses, evidence of financial support, intensive English program, mandatory health insurance, and international student groups.

Computing Information

Indiana University is a world leader in information technology, and computing will be vital to your academic success here. We provide a wealth of technology resources and opportunities through a secure wired and wireless network. Your key to those resources is your network ID.

Once we have confirmation of your acceptance of our offer of admission (and tuition deposit), you will receive instructions on how to generate your computer accounts and what specific accounts to request. Students coming from the undergraduate ranks of Indiana University will be asked to create additional accounts. (The graduate students at the Kelley School of Business use a different e-mail system than the general student population.) Note: Once your Indiana University accounts have been created, all further communication between you and the department will be conducted using your IU Exchange account.

In addition, all 3/2 MBA students are required to purchase a laptop computer. MSA students will find a laptop valuable but it is optional. See the Kelley Schoolís notebook computer requirements for complete information. Youíll use the laptop to download assignments, complete assignments with your team, and send answers to your professors without ever pushing a pencil.
