This course will provide a background in financial instruments, institutions, and markets around the world. Included is an introduction to money markets and banking systems, debt and equity markets, and derivative securities such as forwards, options, and swaps. In addition to institutional details, the course discusses the process firms engage in when deciding to raise capital.
