On the CMA

Seriousness is put into every workshop and presentation. It’s more than just another class. It’s more than just an Academy. The CMA is a life and career-altering opportunity.

My Bio

Undergraduate: UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles), political science

Hometown: San Dimas, Calif.

Internship: Nestlé, Los Angeles

Before taking any basketball shot you need three things to happen: the perfect setup, the confidence in knowing that all the work you have put in has prepared you for this very moment, and the fortitude that no matter the outcome you will learn from it and be that much better next time—my life has been filled with defining shots.

As the first criminal justice and NBA reporter to pursue an MBA, I was seeking the type of education and training that would help me further build on my marketing foundation, supplement my previous skills as an influencer, storyteller and data miner, and bolster my confidence as I transition into a career in brand management. The CMA has afforded me the opportunity to do just that.

If you are considering the CMA, go with your gut. Be hungry. Listen. And keep it simple. Know that there’s no other family quite like Kelley’s. Open arms. Open hearts. Kelleys past and present will go out of their way to help you succeed and reach you goals—the Kelley camaraderie is unparalleled.
