On the CMA

I am an analytical person, so my viewpoint is mostly driven by numbers. The great thing about the CMA is how it helped me tell stories with those numbers. The CMA project my first year was challenging, but helpful to my growth and understanding of consumer marketing. The CMA really set me up to succeed during my internship at Kraft.

Be open-minded and follow your instincts—if it feels right, it usually is. I knew that I wanted to go into consumer marketing, so as a career switcher, the CMA was the perfect alignment. During Academy Week One and independent trekking opportunities with other CMA students during fall break, I had the opportunity to travel throughout the Midwest and East Coast and visit top-tier consumer packaged goods companies that I wouldn’t normally have access to. The relationships with alumni at these companies are what set the Kelley School of Business apart from other institutions.
